About Defending Digital
Defend your digital life!
Defending Digital gives average, non-technical people peace of mind about cybersecurity and digital privacy. Learn how to protect your devices and accounts so that you and your family can avoid hacking, malware, identity theft, and other digital dangers.
Defending Digital seeks to balance security and convenience. To maximize security and privacy would make modern life not only inconvenient, but impossible. To maximize convenience and ignore risk would expose you to dangers such as identity theft. The right approach is a balance between security and convenience. You won’t find any tinfoil hats here. Nor will you find Luddite attitudes. You want to participate in modern life, but do so with awareness and prudence.

About Chad Warner
I’m Chad Warner, founder of Defending Digital. I want to share with you what I’ve learned (and will learn!) so that you can protect yourself and your family.
I’ve been interested in digital security and privacy since high school. That interest has increased ever since, through college (my degree is in Information Systems), hobbyist adventures (such as wardriving), and professional life (as a systems administrator and web agency owner).
I’ve been using the Web since dial-up days. I’ve run a web design agency since 2010. For several years my agency has provided website security services, defending websites against attack.
As a parent of young children, I’m committed to staying on top of digital security and privacy as my children grow up, not only to protect them, but also to teach them security and privacy principles. I share with you what I know and learn.
I geek out over Tolkien and Star Wars, and decorate my office with LEGOs.
Join me on this quest to defend your digital life!
